Week 13 - Georefencing

Above I have my final products for week 13. In this lab we learned all about georeferencing, Root Means Square Errors, adding hyperlinks, and how to use ArcScene. The first map displays the UWF campus buildings, the campus road, and the eagles next protection buffer area. I highlighted the UWF campus gym and showcased the eagle nest and its buffer zone. To complete this map I had to use Georefence data by using control points to match the raster image to the known vector data. During this process I learned how to cheeck the RMSE to see how close i had it to the actual data, I learned how to create a hyperlink and add it to my ArcMap file so I can showcase a picture of the eagles nest. Also was able to use the multiple ring buffers tool to create a set buffer distance around the eagles nest. In the second map I was able to use the same map and create a 3D overlay. I thought this was pretty cool that I could set up my map to add the depth and detail to the UWF campus. This was a pretty cool lab and I was excited to learn the new tools/skills.
